Next class beginning AUGUST 17, 2022

The Voice Writing 101 program was originally designed for steno machine writers desiring to be cross trained or switching to the voice writing method of court reporting.   However, those individuals who are currently working reporters or newly graduated and possess reporting experience and/or training are welcome as well.  For those who need basic training on court reporting practice and procedure may add the Court Reporting Module to the curriculum.

The program will provide a comprehensive understanding and training of the theory of Voice Writing, working with an SRE (Dragon) and a CAT system (EclipseVox™) and how they work together to assist one in producing accurate instant speech- to-text translation and production of transcripts as efficiently as possible.  Participants may also add Certification Prep to the curriculum.

The program is not limited to Eclipse users.  Users of other CAT systems can sign up for the voice writing training only.*

Length:  6-8 weeks (Voice Writing 101 only)

When:  Class is held one evening per week, TBD per session (this will be the same night each week).  All classes are conducted Eastern Standard Time, and are recorded for unlimited reference and playback throughout the program length and for a full 60 days after.

Where:  Via online meeting platform (Zoom or GoTo).
